With God:
To be with God is to follow his words and believe his story.
The soil from which a “With God” people spring is God’s Word. The Bible is our authority because it is true and good. The roots that grow in the soil of God’s Word are God’s Story. His story, not our own, is our hope. God’s grand story can be summarized as follows: God creates, Jesus redeems, the Spirit transforms, and all will one day be restored. Our belief in God’s story is what unites us in eternal relationship with God and gives us a never dying hope even when the storms of life blow hard.
With Each Other:
To be with each other is to share life as a sent family of servants.
The trunk of a tree is its unmistakable identity. Our identity as God’s people comes out of our understanding of God himself. Our God is a sending God. God the Father sent the Son to rescue us. The Father and the Son sent the Spirit to guide us. The Father, Son and the Spirit have sent the church into the world, thus we are a sent people. God is our Father; that means we are all brothers and sisters of an eternal family. Jesus is our Lord, but he displayed his glory through humble service. All who follow Jesus have this same servant DNA stamped in them.
With a Mission:
To be with a mission is to join God in the restoration of all things
Healthy branches spread outward and upward bringing life. Our purpose on earth is to join God in his life-bringing mission which will eventually restore all things. God accomplishes his mission through us as we live the rhythms of everyday life, intentionally telling, showing, and welcoming people into the good news of God’s story (Rhythms of life: eating, celebrating, blessing, grieving, listening, and creating).
